It Is Your Day, Jesus
Oh, sweet and loving Christ Jesus,
On this day in a manger you lay,
The skies lighted o’er Bethlehem,
Leading to the Child of God that day.
Shepherds of the fields stood in awe,
Of the brightest star they had e’er beheld,
Wise men traveled from lands afar,
Giving gifts to the Baby in love meld.
Celebrations spread across the lands,
As word of the Lord’s birth was told,
The gift of a promised Messiah,
More treasured than silver and gold.
The Redeemer has, in truth arrived,
As the Father had lovingly related,
The Son of God by man is sighted,
Gratified hearts are profoundly elated.
Today we proudly honor you Christ Jesus,
Celebrating your miraculous birth,
Our Heavenly Father gave the greatest gift,
When His precious Child was born on this earth.
