Our Father's
World
What
difference this world would be
if all people would remember
that this is our Father's
world! There is no blind force
or blind fate ~ but only our
Father's love which guides and
shapes the destiny of all His
children in all things great
and small.
"The earth is
the Lord's, and the fullness
thereof; the world, and they
that dwell therein."
Psalm 24:1
He who guides the flight
of the sparrow and traces its
final fall has promised to
guide us safely through all
dangers in life and to bring
us safely to heaven.
"For God so loved the
world, that he gave his only
begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not
perish, but have everlasting
life."
John 3:16
We know that there is
someone who hears and answers
us. We know this because He
was here a long, long time
ago, in His Father's world, in
the Person of Jesus Christ,
who said, "
. . . he that hath seen me
hath seen the
Father . . ." (John
14:9). This one Lord, He
is God, the Father.
And His love sent His Son to
the cross that we might live
with Him in glory.
"Know therefore
this day, and consider it in
thine heart, that the Lord he
is God in heaven above, and
upon the earth beneath: there
is none else."
Deuteronomy 4:39
What a wonderful thought with
which we can begin each new
day and with which we can
retire to each night! Through
Christ, the God of the
universe has become our
Father, and the unspeakably
marvelous world in which we
live, whose air we breathe and
whose life we share, is
forever bright with promise.
He has promised to uphold,
sustain and guide His
children, redeemed by Jesus
Christ, His Son. The world in
which we shall go to sleep
tonight and to which, He
wills, shall awaken to
tomorrow, is still our
Father's World ~ this world to
govern, guide, and keep for
all His trusting children.
"O Lord, how
manifest are thy works! in
wisdom hast thou made them
all: the earth is full of thy
riches." Psalm
104:24
I believe in God and I
believe that I live in a moral
universe that came from the
mind and hand of a Creator who
is still in charge, in whose
keeping still lie all the
issues of life and death. I
don't believe in fate, chance,
or luck. I am a child of God!
I believe that God has made us
and still preserves us.
"He is the Lord our
God: his judgments are in all
the earth."
Psalm 105:7
As Christians, we are to be
responsible to God for our
actions. Remember, He has laid
down certain unchanging laws
in the Bible, His Word, that
we should use as a guide in
our life.
God is personally
concerned about everything
which goes on in our lives
while we're here on His earth.
He hears us laugh and cry; He
sees us feast at a table of
good food, while He looks upon
the hungry; He sees the happy,
joyous person as well as the
hurt and sorrowful one; He
watches how we live and greets
us as we die. This world is
His ~ His creation from the
beginning of time. "Rejoice!
Be glad in it" as
He gives us each a new day . .
. for
This is our Father's
World!
