"Praise the Lord with harp: sing unto him with the psaltery and an instrument of ten strings. Sing unto him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise."

MUSIC TO GOD'S EARS

Christians across the world make beautiful music as they unite their talents and abilities to praise God. They believe that everything they do in faith brings glory to His name. Well, guess what? What they believe is so true!!! All the sounds of the working Christian are beautiful music to God's ears! He rejoices in the various ways His people praise Him by what they think, say, and do.

"And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou was slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation." Revelation 5:9

Since Christ Jesus was slain, and by His blood ransomed all people for God, heaven is ringing with praise to Him for gaining followers from every tribe and language, people and nation. Let the redeemed people of God give the Savior glory and honor also here on earth. For He has broken the power of sin over them and has set them free to serve the living God. Let them sing, "Hosanna to the son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest." (Matthew 21:9)

"Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ." Ephesians 5:19,20

Singing is an act of worship by which we praise and glorify God for His mercy and goodness. We are encouraged to speak to one another with psalms and hymns and spiritual songs. We edify one another in this way. Christian hymns touch some of our deepest needs.

"And he hath put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the Lord." Psalm 40:3

The Holy Spirit uses hymns to open hearts to the Gospel message of Salvation through faith in Jesus. God's people have so many wonderful blessings to sing about.

"Sing unto him, sing psalms unto him, talk ye of all his wondrous works." 1Chronicles 16:9

"Jesus loves me this I know, for the Bible tells me so...." We all surely remember this hymn of praise as a child. Let us continue to practice the language of praise. As we do, we will find there to be no lack of words to say, or hymns to sing, in praise of our loving God. We should always be "Music to God's Ears!" "Yes, Jesus loves me, Yes, Jesus loves me. Yes, Jesus loves me. The Bible tells me so!"

"The Lord is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him." Psalm 28:7
