10
Then the disciples went away again unto
their own home.
11
But Mary stood without at the sepulchre weeping:
and as she wept, she stooped down, and looked
into the sepulchre,
12
And seeth two angels in white sitting, the one
at the head, and the other at the feet, where
the body of Jesus had lain.
13
And they say unto her, Woman, why weepest thou?
She saith unto them, Because they have taken
away my LORD, and I know not where they have
laid him.
14
And when she had thus said, she turned herself
back, and saw Jesus standing, and knew not that
it was Jesus.
15
Jesus saith unto her,
Woman, why weepest thou?
whom seekest thou?
She, supposing him to be the gardener, saith
unto him, Sir, if thou have borne him hence,
tell me where thou hast laid him, and I will
take him away.
16
Jesus saith unto her,
Mary.
She turned herself, and saith unto him, Rabboni;
which is to say, Master.
John 20:10-16
Seek and you
shall find
When the sun came up that Sunday morning they
went seeking to find and tend to the body of
there friend and leader Jesus whom thy had seen
die on the cross 3 days before but the tomb was
empty. They had forgotten Jesus words while he
was still alive when he had told them that he
would rebuild the temple in just 3 days. He was
dead they knew before He was laid to rest so
they were very surprised and scared when they
found the body gone.
Had someone come and stolen Jesus body?
Just what reason would anyone have to do such as
that.
They just wished to know where he was but found
Him not.
Are you that way today. Searching for someone
but not finding what you think you are looking
for. Are we like Mary and when we are face to
face with Jesus we are still asking where He is.
Are we looking and searching but not knowing
what it is when we find it. Are we looking for a
dead Lord whom we ask things of but never really
expecting that He is here with us to do what
ever we need from Him. He has told us to ask
what so ever we will and believe and it shall
come to pass.
Today I remind you that we celebrate not Easter Sunday but
Resurrection Day. The Day that Jesus was found
to have come forth from the tomb and was alive
again after being dead for 3 days and 3 nights
in the lower parts of the earth.
The
work is done and as He said while still on the
cross. It is finished.
If you do
not know Him then just do a very simple thing.
Ask Him to come in to your heart and guide your
everyday life and you will surely know Him then.
I hope you
all have a wonderful
Resurrection Day and
will remember that it is a day to rejoice in the
hope that God our Father of the Bible gave to us
when he sent His son Jesus to pay the price for
our sin.
